Blue Skimmer Dragonflies can be found throughout Australia. These
remarkable insects are born yellow, and the males change from yellow to
blue as they mature in a process called Pruinescence. The females remain
yellow.
Fun fact: Dragonflies can fly nonstop across oceans and have the
longest continuous flight distance of any insect, up to 17,700 km!
